Cambridge was established all the way back in 1806, shortly before the town quickly became a center for trade. With time, railroads began to intersect the town, bringing in even more people and goods and inspiring the town to flourish.
The city eventually became the center of an enormous glass-making industry, after discovering both natural gas and oil below the land. Today, more than 11,000 people call Cambridge their home.
If you’re staying in Cambridge or just happen to be passing through, there are numerous sites to see. First of all, be sure to check out the National Museum of Cambridge Glass, which honors one of the many traditions that makes Cambridge great.

Falling second to the Cambridge Museum of Glass, the Hopalong Cassidy Museum is a fantastic place for collectors of memorabilia. Featuring lunchboxes, mugs, and the like, it’s easy to spend a fortune on items from your childhood. Converted from an old hospital into a museum, this is the perfect place to show the kids what you grew up with!
As long as you’re looking for antiques and memorabilia, stop by Penny Court Antiques as well. This shop is owned and operated by some very friendly owners that are incredibly knowledgeable about the items they sell. This three-floor store is packed with antique and vintage items that will allow you to relive old memories before heading out on the road. You never know what you’ll find at Penny Court Antiques.
After you’ve had dinner and are looking for a show, check out the Living Word Amphitheater. Set in the scenic hills of Cambridge, this amphitheater offers rows of stadium-style seating that provide an excellent view of all the drama happening on stage. A great place for visitors young and old, taking in a classic drama is the way to end an evening.
